Guest Post: John Emil Augustine Says Hello

Image
Today I am honored to welcome John Emil Augustine, the author of Love Seen from Hell, a novel about 21st century romance seen through the eyes and mind of a man. The second book, Love Seen from Heartache, comes out today, September 28th 2012.
Meet John here today through his own words.

Welcome John, and thank you for introducing yourself to us.

I've been a musician for a little over 25 years and have toured, performed, and written with some amazing musicians. I can't mention names because my anonymity is important. When you read the books, you'll understand why. I suppose there is at least one book in all that I've experienced on the road, but I've ended up writing about something very different which has also come from my experience. As feedback begins to come in, I am finding that my books hold extremely universal topics.
I, quite frankly, never wanted to write a book. It kind of happened accidentally. I wrote this story to try to help my friend, who is kin…

Carnival of Souls

Image
Melissa Marr has been on my to-read-list for a very long time now. Today, I was just going through the Goodreads page, looking for authors, books,... (like that's anything new), when I stumbled upon her newest book, Carnival of Souls. And I couldn't help myself and had to watch the book trailer. So take a look first, please.

I have to say I absolutely adore this trailer. Makes me want to read the book instantly. So I will be reading it as soon as I get my hands on it! :D
What is even better is the book cover which I find absolutely terriffic and unique, and all kinds of perfect.

Isn't it pretty?
Now, where was I? Oh, yes. As I was saying, I was watching the book trailer and heard a song. Yup. Like always. My obsession with books and music. And coffee. ;)
And haven't been able to put the song out of my head ever since.
Far From Home by Five Finger Death Punch

That would be it. Did you read the book already? What were your impressions? What about the trailer or the co…

Rambler Birdie

Image
An original idea? Or maybe not. But keep reading. :)

As the blog description says, I am a rookie blogger. Maybe it is a little early for me to feature something on my blog, but I am just crazy enough to want to start something for the blogger community. Since my blog is named The Rambling Readerista I have thought it would have been a fun thing to feature a Rambler where people can just ramble about things they want to. It can be anything that strikes you at the moment and you want to share it with the world. You can ramble about:  books, music, travelling, favourite authors or books, or books that should be made into movies,or movies, artists, or just about anything else that strikes your fancy. Every ramble is quite welcome. You can ramble about things that are connected with blogging, web design or anything else that can help people around the blogging community, or give them something interesting to talk about, a way to connect people further with things that they have in common.
As…

Book Review: Alone Time by Lauren Dane

Image
Book Description:
Visits to Petal will be bonus chapters that will accompany the print releases of all new Petal/Chase books. They’ll be continuing stories of the characters you’ve met already, just brief glimpses into their lives (and nope, not standalone). The first one will come out in September 2012, coinciding with the print release of ONCE AND AGAIN. The chapters will appear at the end of the print book and also be available in digital formats from Samhain and other bookstores!
Visits to Petal, Part 1 – ALONE TIME It’s date night in Petal, Georgia, and Nathan, Matt and Shane have some long-awaited alone time with their women and they’re not about to let that opportunity go. Warning: This free story is bonus material for readers of the Chase brothers and Petal, Georgia, series and is not intended to be standalone.

My Thoughts:
A little peek into the Chase characters. Cute. If you have read the Chase Brothers by Lauren Dane, this short novella will give you a sneak peek int…

Book Review: Playing to Win by Jaci Burton

Image
Book description:

Book Four in the Play-by-Play Series Someone's going to have to let down their guard... Football star Cole Riley is notorious for doing as he pleases—on the field and off. He parties hard and fights harder, but if he doesn't clean up his act, his career is over—so Cole reluctantly agrees to work with image makeover consultant Savannah Brooks. He's not used to being told what to do, especially by some (admittedly hot) southern belle. As for Savannah, she's not convinced she can transform this cocky (and aggressively sexy) force of nature. But she's determined to give it her best shot. When the sparks start to fly, Savannah lays down the ground rules: no personal complications. If she can turn off the tingle she feels every time Cole gives her a hot stare with his gorgeous baby blues, he can turn off his desire as well. But for two people determined to have it all, a hands-off policy can only last so long before one of them yields.
My though…

Insomnia

Image
Last night was one of those nights when I couldn't fall asleep for a long time, so what did I do? Surfed the Internet, of course. Like that was any question. But fine. So, I was searching my way through all the different templates for this shiny new blog because the one I have chosen first was "Liquorice", a very boring, dull and absolutely not a unique one. Not saying that this one is any better, but for the time being it will have to do. It's at least a little cuter than the previous one. ;)
But not to seem too lazy for choosing the already made and free template, I promise that I will create my own, and already have some ideas, just have to put myself to work. For that sole purpose I have a tester blog that you know nothing about. Whoop. Now you do. ;) In the meantime I'm going to be reading and writing, or just rambling like this one. Hey, I never promised I wouldn't ramble! It makes your life a little more fun. :P
As I was saying, I was surfing the Intern…

Hello world!

Image
What to write as my first blog post? Hard question. Answer: have absolutely no idea. Maybe and introduction. Hm. Yeah, introduction so it is.
Now, me and my blog are finally saying hello to the world in hope that this post will be fun and hip enough to attract some readers. No? Never mind, I'm writing nevertheless. Here it goes.
Hi, my name is Maja (or if you, like I, prefer Maya) and I live in Croatia. A small country, small city girl who is just finishing her college degree in a years time. That's me. So in a year's time, I will have got (hopefully) my Masters degree in Teaching English and Croatian language and literature. Actually, teaching as a choice has come like a surprise to friends and family (including myself) since I have actually always wanted to become an interpreter and work for a big firm or in tourism. Well, plans change and you pick what suits you more. If really. But don't think I am all about school and professionalism.
Nope. I absolutely love listeni…
